This is a great opportunity if you are experienced in business development, confident in your ability to make outbound telephone-based and/or face to face sales and are looking to work in a fast paced, forward thinking business that really does make a difference to people,s lives.

Our client is a provider of unrivalled, single healthcare data, education and information resource with outstanding analytics capabilities. Providing web-based software applications that enable Life Sciences companies to effectively manage their sales, marketing and medical resources and collaborate with healthcare providers to provide better outcomes both commercially and for patients.
As a business development manager you will operate at the forefront of the sales team located in our Basildon office.
This isnt a KPI driven telesales role. We're looking for experienced Business Development Managers with a truly consultative approach to selling who enjoy maximising client relationships.

We're a City based PLC that is well known in the market which will give you plenty of opportunities to progress clients relationships by securing both new business and renewing existing accounts.
You will be dealing with key contacts within companies that utilise our data and marketing services to gain penetration with the healthcare sector.
Having a whole host of products available, resource and industry leading services, you will be proactive in your approach in achieving and owning your sales number.

Core responsibilities:
Proactively contact new customers
Maintain existing accounts with renewal subscriptions and upsell opportunities
Outstanding account management
Input and maintaining accurate records on Salesforce
Providing professional and accurate written quotes and proposals
Dealing with incoming telephone and online enquires in a speedy and efficient manner
Achievement of activity targets
Achieving a minimum 90% of sales targets per quarter


Person experience required

Experience of outbound telephone-based or face to face sales Business to Business preferred but not essential Working towards and achieving sales targets Presentation experience - Webex preferred but not essential Working with Microsoft products Is passionate about customer focus Loves to learn - both knowledge and skills Is a creative question-asker and a solution-finder Is able to work in a fast paced, fun and progressive environment Enjoys a challenge - we work hard, and it can be a steep learning curve
