This is an outstanding opportunity to join a leading healthcare logistics company as a Commercial Director.
The Client is a leading provider of value added logistics services in Britain, providing innovative stock management and distribution services to hospitals and healthcare brand owners/manufacturers focused on delivering products and services across theatres, wards, and the home care setting.
Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Group MD, the Commercial Director will be responsible for developing and directing a new business development and key account management strategy which will drive continued growth and profitability for the Logistics business. The role-holder will have direct management responsibility for the field sales team, the commercial support team, and will also be responsible for relationship and account management of the largest customers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the sales strategy, annual sales plans and in-market execution to deliver the revenue, operating profit and market expansion goals of the logistics business
Build strong customer relationships with procurement hubs and NHS trusts with the aim of positioning the company as the trusted partner with suppliers/principals and key manufacturers in the managed services arena
To take personal responsibility for relationship and account management of a number of strategically important accounts
To structure, develop and lead the field sales organisation setting annual targets and effective KPIs which will drive sales from existing and new business
Build and maintain a strong, collaborative working relationship with the Logistics Operations teams with the aim of championing the customer and service excellence at all times
Build new and manage existing key accounts in terms of tender management, negotiation strategies and trading terms
Implement a CRM process to strengthen sales force effectiveness, customer relationships, sales conversion and business retention
Networking and relationship building with key stakeholders throughout the NHS and private healthcare industry
Interpreting market trends and adapting to industry changes
Focus on innovation advancements that strengthen our competitive position
