Role description

Role: SQL and BI Reports Developer
Business Area: Healthcare Insights, Publications, Education and Training
Package: Negotiable salary up to GBP35,000 based on experience, Pension and additional benefits
Location: Basildon

Role Type: Data Analyst, Business Intelligence

As a SQL and BI reports developer you will develop, deploy and maintain BI reports and dashboards for client facing products. You will have experience in working with Logi analytics as the main BI reporting tool but experience of Tableau is also desirable.
You will have expert SQL and data skills to be able to work as a full stack developer delivering product enhancements with a good degree of autonomy.
You will have a good eye for dashboard design to be able to deliver intuitive and visually appealing dashboards and reports for the end user.

The right candidate will have a solid background in working with data in a reporting environment utilising BI tools for analytics and visualisation. Good communication skills and the ability to interpret requirements well is vital to the success of the role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To work under the guidance of the development team leader
Full stack development and delivery of reports and dashboards as part of a client facing product.
Data manipulation with SQL and writing stored procedures as required.
Work alongside and with other developers to deliver product
Work with good source code control principles, developing on a shared codebase that delivers multiple modular products.
Support and maintenance of existing and new product
Liaise with project managers and product owners to keep them appraised of project progress
Maintain relevant technical documentation including code comments
Unit testing

Qualifications

Educated to degree standard in a relevant subject.

Person experience required

Essential Skills: Logi Anlytics; Expert SQL skills; SQL Server; Working in a .NET environment; Dashboard and Report design skills; Source code control using GIT Desirable Skills: Tableau; Javascript and other web technologies Essential Experience: Hands on experience in working with data in reporting environment; Working as part of/with delivery teams; Working in a Microsoft .Net web application environment; Delivering solutions in a cloud-based environment Desirable Experience: Experience working with the NHS, tech, medtech or pharmaceutical industry; Experience working with CRM data/systems; Knowledge of the NHS
