Role description

Head of Pharmacovigilance - Oncology. Exciting new role working as Head of Pharmacovigilance, responsible for oversight and continuous improvement of all pharmacovigilance systems and processes in the UK, in line with appropriate regulations, legislation, and best practice.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as Head of Pharmacovigilance, responsible for oversight and continuous improvement of all pharmacovigilance (PV) systems and processes in the UK, in line with appropriate regulations, legislation, and where possible, best practice.

In this role you will:
Lead the pharmacovigilance systems and processes for the UK business.
Lead the Medical Information and pharmacovigilance team for UK Oncology Business Unit.
Work closely with the companys safety colleagues and the regulatory team to ensure a coordinated approach to PV regulators (MHRA, EMA) and functions as National Contact Person (NCP).
Be responsible for oversight of all PV activities related to the oncology business unit.
Manage day to day oversight of ongoing PV activities, liaise with members of all other departments to ensure PV input where required.

Qualifications

Degree in life sciences or healthcare related degree and/or post graduate qualification

Person experience required

Essential: Extensive experience working in senior pharmacovigilance roles in the pharmaceutical industry. Proven ability to effectively project-manage. Thorough knowledge of ABPI, EFPIA and IFPMA Codes of Practice. Working knowledge of MHRA regulations and European GDP, GPvP and PV legislation. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a cross functional team environment. Confident and professional communication style. Proven ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
