Role: Hospital Account Executive
Therapy Area: Cardiovascular
Package: Negotiable basic salary between 45,000-60,000, bonus, car allowance and comprehensive reward package
Location: Staffordshire & Shropshire

Role type: Hospital Account Executive, Hospital Specialist, Key Account Specialist - this role is focused on healthcare professionals in secondary care associated networks.

With more than 100 years of scientific expertise, the company draws upon a rich legacy of innovation and a robust pipeline of promising new medicines to help patients.

As Hospital Account Executive you will support the Key Account Manager (KAM) within secondary care and clinical networks.
You will be selling a cardiovascular product into key account hospitals in Cardiology, Care of the Elderly & Haematology, plus some CCG working.
Also new launch of a synthetic statin, again main focus in Cardiology.
This is a very exciting time to join a rapidly growing pharmaceutical company, with a strong pipeline and key launches in the next 5 years within Oncology.

Purpose:
To consistently achieve stretching territory sales targets & deliver positive hospital advocacy/formularies & protocols for the company brands, through delivery of established marketing & business objectives, advanced account management, & demonstration of advanced clinical knowledge and professional selling skills.

To work effectively and autonomously in a coordinated manner with territory colleagues (both company employees and alliance partners) to deliver integrated account plans in line with objectives.

Accountabilities / Measures:
Working closely with regional colleagues, own the development and implementation of integrated hospital account plans to maximise sales.
Identify, develop and secure new and existing business opportunities on territory to drive demand sales.
Use advanced selling skills and customer understanding to secure business to a mutually beneficial outcome for both the company and customers.
Use advanced selling skills and customer and market knowledge to leverage sales at Territory level.

Qualifications

Essential: ABPI and Full driving licence Desirable: Degree level education, preferably life sciences.

Person experience required

Substantial experience of successful primary and secondary care pharmaceutical sales. Experience of working in the CV market would be an advantage. Previous hospital working experience and/or evidence of formulary success. Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and communicate effectively the findings of clinical trial data and relevant clinical guidelines. Strong knowledge of the NHS structure and environment. Business and commercial acumen. Knowledge of Key Account Management working principles. Strong numerical and data analysis skills and capability. Competent user of Microsoft Office software products.
