The client is a world leader in rapid diagnostics at the point of care, with a focus on cardio metabolic disease, infectious disease and toxicology.

We have an exciting new opportunity for entrepreneurial and high calibre self-starter with a proven track record in the Healthcare sales arena. As a Key Account Manager you will contribute to the companys Rapid Diagnostics growth and development across both primary and secondary care settings. Working across all levels within the NHS, Public Health and Local Authority settings, this role involves researching, identifying, assimilating and prioritising key opportunities within a region.
The role focusses on developing key accounts for products and services in partnership with other business functions. You will implement national strategies for new and existing products and services, including mapping out and building stakeholder relationships. This requires the ability to sell all of the companys products and services across Primary & Secondary Care sectors.
The KAM is expected to lead and initiate projects or work as part of a project team as required, demonstrate excellent business acumen and strive to meet and exceed agreed financial and strategic objectives.
The role is regional but may have national elements. Depending on your areas of expertise you may be asked to assist colleagues in other parts of the UK & Ireland.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Development of markets and customers, achieving sales targets, providing general customer service in the various areas of responsibility
Responsibility for the development and execution of the full product portfolio within the area within given business unit
The KAM is expected to lead and initiate projects or work as part of a project team as required, demonstrate excellent business acumen and strive to meet and exceed agreed financial and strategic objectives
Building up a strong relationship with all stakeholders in key accounts
Participating in all sales and marketing meetings as well as all important congresses
Understanding their sales strategies and transferring the UK marketing campaigns to a regional level
Ability to articulate issues and business opportunities with relevant customers to secure long term strategic business opportunities

Qualifications

Degree or higher in Business, Biological Science or related field.

Person experience required

At least 5-10 years industry experience with ideally 3-5 years of experience in sales Familiarity with diagnostic industry practices and ideally has familiarity with [market(s) relevant to product line]. Thorough knowledge of UK healthcare industry, NHS and private healthcare providers Track record of success, growth case studies incl. numbers represented on CV, ability to articulate the how on their achievements Previously worked in both Primary and Secondary care essential Previously worked in Lab & POC highly desirable Lab & POC knowledge essential Miller Heiman knowledge or other Sales Methodologies experience (Consultative selling skills - maximise current relationships but also colder acquisition) is a plus, Good understanding of longer sales cycles (3-12 months) An existing network within Pathology & Lab, and/or Diabetes, Cardiovascular & Respiratory is preferable Good understanding of working with across health economies, so STPs, CCGs through to Hospital & Community Experience with using CRM systems for reporting and territory planning Candidate will be skilled in ring fencing and protecting existing business, contract management and hunting for new business/accounts Excellent territory management is essential with a real focus on effort/results Effective communicator, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to achieve results through influencing others. Demonstrated ability to maintain positive people relationships and build strong links with all departments Self-starter, possesses flexibility and ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment and ambiguous situations Positive attitude, team player with a high level of initiative, energy and enthusiasm Excellent organisation, facilitator and presentation skills Responsible-minded with a high persuasive power Driven by objectives, solutions, meet the deadlines and customer satisfaction
