Our client is seeking Key Account Manager or Hospital Specialist with CCG Payer responsibility
This is an outstanding opportunity to support one of the largest pharmaceutical companies worldwide in the promotion of a well-established product for the treatment of Asthma. The role of the Key Account Manager is to ensure effective account management to deliver both access and uptake of the Respiratory Portfolio. The target audience is Population Led Decision Makers (PLDMs) and key Secondary Care customers within the local health economy.
The Primary responsibility is the development and leadership of local key account plans that result in creating and/or maintaining optimal market access of the respiratory medicines, including re/positioning on local formularies and guidelines (where appropriate) within the local health economy and driving successful sales uptake.
The role will involve but not be restricted to the following activities;
Developing industry-leading key account plans to execute the national strategy for the Respiratory Portfolio.
Understanding the customer processes and steps needed to achieve local market access and population-level uptake across CCG, APC decision making bodies, NHS Trusts or Health Boards within the local health economy.
Leveraging deep local account and, customer environmental insights, to build strong account plans that translate the national business strategy into local execution.
Prioritisation of resources through effective account segmentation and stakeholder targeting/mapping in both primary and secondary care where necessary.
Implementation of key account plans to drive optimal access and uptake of the Respiratory Portfolio:
To develop and maintain a high level of product and disease area knowledge to influence product advocacy (payer and clinical) that leads to access and uptake of the Respiratory Portfolio.
Build trust and develop relationships with key PLDM and secondary care stakeholders using an account management approach.
Influence and shape local health economy to deliver market access.
Leverage and accelerate current NHS mechanisms to increase appropriate uptake (e.g. work plans, guidance development and accelerate implementation).
Deliver high quality customer calls and activity to generate clinical and payer advocacy that achieves account goals.
Achieve an effective coverage and frequency of activity on target PLDMs and secondary care customers to drive both access and uptake in line with account priorities.
Coordinate effective deployment of any client led specialist roles (e.g. Marketing, etc) to deliver the account plans.
Support implementation of services/solutions/commercial propositions to ensure that all patients who could benefit from the medicine, within licence, have access to it
