This is a great opportunity to join an established world leading healthcare company as a Marketing Manager - Point of Care Diagnostics - Infectious Diseases. The client is a world leader in rapid diagnostics at the point of care, with a focus on cardio metabolic disease, infectious disease and toxicology.

In this role you will tackle a wide array of problems including some of the world's greatest healthcare challenges, while experiencing a myriad of cultures, geographies, and technologies. The primary responsibility of the Marketing Manager is to develop and implement marketing strategies and tactics successfully, using a thorough understanding of the local market and the product offering. The Marketing manager also contributes to the regional and global business planning and value creation processes for the achievement of the mid and long-term growth goals. This role reports directly into the European Marketing Director for Infectious Disease, and dotted line to the Commercial Director of the local markets in scope for the position.

Key Responsibilities:
Development of local marketing and promotional plans:
Ownership of deep understanding of local markets:
Routine participation in sales effectiveness:
Collaboration with regional and global teams in the management of relationships
Participation to ad-hoc special projects (regional / global)

Travel:
25-30% of time travelling to customer-facing or internal meetings, including regional / global meetings a couple of times a year
Time % weight to be 85% in UK and 15% in Ireland
Travel to midlands for face-to-face meetings every 2 weeks, and to the office to collaborate with office and finance team

Qualifications

Masters or equivalent degree preferred - biological science preferred

Person experience required

Proven experience in marketing in the Diagnostic arena, or other close healthcare area, ideally in Infectious Diseases and working with Point-Of-Care technologies Proven knowledge of the NHS and other target segments of the Diagnostics market, including the in-vitro device industry Proven experience leading marketing and sales, with strengths in both strategic and tactical management Ability to deliver goals in a fast-paced, matrixed organization Ability to effectively communicate & collaborate with all key stakeholders and higher and lower reporting levels Comfortable interpreting and communicating complex technical information including clinical concepts, statistics and outcomes to high level strategic direction Positive mind set and collaborative attitude to bring down barriers and achieve growth Good balance between big-picture view and analytical/detailed focus Proficiency using Microsoft Office pack & other (SharePoint, CRM, etc) Natural inspirational leader who can energize and align a cross-functional team to deliver the business goals Strong focus in understanding and extracting customer value Balanced mix of strategic and tactical focus High capacity for fast learning Ability to travel up to 40% of the time (nationally and internationally)
