Role: Medical Affairs Manager - Respiratory

With a continued focus on the development of or clients pharmaceutical portfolio an opportunity has arisen for a Medical Affairs Manager. In this role the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in channelling the clients scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives.

This role is based at Head Office which is home to the UK Marketing Company (UKMC), responsible for the marketing of our medicines in the UK. Here youll also find colleagues from the clients corporate functions and European and International regions sales and marketing teams. As a member of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI), all of the companys sales, marketing and communications activities are subject to the ABPI Code of Practice.

Key Responsibilities:
To be the clinical expert delivering medical insight and governance into projects and activities supporting the Business Development and Cornerstone portfolio, in order to meet product and/or Therapy Area objectives, including Due Diligence activities.
To transition key Business Development projects into Medical Affairs as the medical and data expert
To act as Nominated Signatory for medical team
Act to ensure GCP requirements are fully complied with and in line with the local Quality Management System (QMS) SOP and all other Company policies and Standards

Qualifications

Registered Physician (preferably GMC registered) or Pharmacist (General Pharmaceutical Council registered) Hold Nominated Signatory status or gain this within first 6 months in role Understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice

Person experience required

Essential: Evidence of effective team working and accountability Extensive patient and customer insight through experience in the NHS Evidence of effective team working and accountability It is mandatory for the performance of this role to hold or successfully acquire Nominated Signatory status. You are required to gain Nominated Signatory status within 6 months of commencing your role. You are also required to pass re-validation testing every 12- 24 months or as requested Technical expertise in the allocated disease/therapy area Understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice Proven ability to interact with external customers
