Patient Advocacy and Innovation Policy Manager. Exciting new opportunity to work with a global pharmaceutical company developing and delivering Patient Advocacy & Innovation Policy strategies, supporting high-level external relations for the company with political institutions, patient groups and related policy influencers across the UK.

This is an exciting new opportunity to work for a Global Pharmaceutical company that is experiencing rapid growth, supporting the UK Head of External Affairs in developing and delivering Patient Advocacy & Innovation Policy strategies and support high-level external relations for the company with political institutions, patient groups and related policy influencers across the UK.
You will develop the company position around ongoing policy debates and influence external stakeholders to change policy in support of the companys priorities and patient access to
healthcare. You will work closely with identified key decision makers, policy formulators
and influencing groups to achieve positive outcomes for all external stakeholders.
The role will be to manage ongoing relationships with heads of patient groups and other external stakeholders, co design projects to improve standards of care in disease areas and leverage communications engagement to amplify / disseminate appropriate disease and policy campaigns.

In this role you will:
Execute and help shape Patient Advocacy & Innovation Policy strategy execution at the country level.
Closely monitor trends in local policies, guidance and regulations and informs the business in a timely manner.
Provide high level input to strategy development to support the companys external Engagement.
Maintain a network of government and stakeholder contacts.
Works closely with ABPI to support the company business strategy and key policy initiatives.
Contribute to a favourable legal and policy environment to support the company short- and long-term objectives.
Influence and mobilise internal business partners and external stakeholders to deliver significant change that supports patient access to the company pipeline and portfolios.
Build and manage collaborations with UK patients and Patient Advocacy Groups, co-develop projects with them.
Be an active and integral member of the business team and collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to align on business strategy.
Actively participate in the UK affiliate External Affairs task force.
Conduct all activities in compliance with industry and company ethical codes of practice, policies and laws.
client is a global specialty pharmaceuticals company that researches, develops, produces and markets its own pharmaceutical products, working within the Cardiovascular, Renal and Haematology therapy areas.

Qualifications

Degree in Political Science, Economics, Health Economics, Law, Public Policy/Public Administration Full UK drivers licence

Person experience required

3-5 Years of experience in Public Affairs, ideally experience of company and institutional/political experience. Experience executing patient and policy strategy in UK. Government Healthcare & Systems - Clear understanding of UK. government and NHS infrastructure with demonstrable experience of working with and shaping NHS/government/trade association. activities to align with company / industry interests. Stakeholder Management - Proven record in leveraging policy stakeholders to shape NHS guidelines and decisions. Able to demonstrate successful and effective partner relationships with patient groups, with clear programme outcomes that improve standards of care for disease areas. Communications - demonstrable experience of having developed and lead communications campaigns to amplify awareness and/or policy campaigns. Understanding of implementing and informing market access strategies and execution: Data Generation, Modelling & Synthesis. Pricing & Reimbursement. Business & Access Knowledge.
