Our client is a global innovation-driven biopharmaceutical company specialising in the discovery, development, manufacturing and marketing of prescription medicines that make a meaningful difference in healthcare.
Exciting opportunity for an experienced hospital specialist or key account manager to work as a Private Healthcare Account Manager

The Private Healthcare Managers role is to create and maintain a positive environment for medicines within key insurance companies and pre-defined key hospitals and clinics mapping and understanding process for private formulary inclusion, protocol and guideline development, which can lead to an increase in private market sales.
Working closely with the National Business Leads, the private Healthcare Manager plays a key role in the development and implementation of the private market account plans and supports the embedding of account excellence across the Business Unit. They play a key role in determining and monitoring the key tactics and the allocation of resources in the account plans, to ensure implementation of the private market account plans.
Summary of Accountabilities:
Achieving Private Market and Patient access for agreed brands
Evaluate and deliver private market business opportunities within each account
Development of private market account plans, objective setting and implementation
Managing stakeholders, local market shaping and sales performance
Development of advocacy with key internal and external stakeholders that will realise business outcomes in the short, medium, and long term.
Ensuring compliance of all Governance Framework and ABPI.


Qualifications

Essential: Educated to degree level or equivalent, full UK driving licence Desirable: Business/commercial related degree Understanding and experience of private insurance funding mechanisms

Person experience required

Essential: Experience of working in an NHS or pharmaceutical industry role as a hospital specialist, key account manager or heath care development manager, proven track record of sales & business management success, proven track record in influencing the prescribing decision-making process across hospitals and primary care, Deep knowledge of chosen therapy area, self starter & effective problem solver - responsible for own actions and results. Desirable: Working knowledge of the private healthcare market, 3-5 years experience working for a private insurance company, contributing to formulary decision making, experienced Strategic/Key Account Manager
