Role: Territory Manager - Surgical Capital and Consumables
Therapy Area: Neuro, Orthopaedics, General Surgery - Theatre Sales
Territory: Dublin and South/South East Ireland - Cork, Waterford, Wexford

Role Type: Sales Representative; Medical Representative; Territory Sales Representative.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading company in Medical Device Sales.
This role sits within the Surgical Capital Division to develop and enhance clinical relationships across the territory within but not limited to Neuro, Orthopaedics, General Surgery and Clinical Engineering. The purpose of the role is to communicate the clinical and commercial benefits of the product range, to enable better patient outcomes and to provide cost effective options to clinical staff across the territory. The TM will be expected to regularly pitch and upsell products to Consultant Surgeons, Clinical Engineering and Procurement.
There is significant opportunity to expand into new clinical areas and new accounts so the successful candidate will be required to possess very strong business development skills and the ability to generate business leads off their own initiative. The successful candidate will be a committed team player who works well as part of a high performing cross functional team.

In this role you will:
Deliver year-on-year sales growth by meeting and/or exceeding the annual sales plan in the agreed territory.
Have a strong focus on new product introduction.
Secure, maintain and service existing business.
Build a sales pipeline and meeting strategic growth targets by identifying key growth and new business opportunities.
Develop and implement agreed strategies in all target accounts.
Participate in and provide support at relevant exhibitions, sales meetings, and other clinical/sales-related functions, as requested and/or defined by management.
Develop territory management plans that identify and prioritise activities to achieve business goals.
Promote a positive and professional company image internally and externally.
Utilise CRM system inputting all information daily.
Complete all administration, reports & requests within guidelines & on time.
Support other territories on occasion if required.
The client is a specialised, value-adding distributor, supplying essential products and services to the Healthcare, Pharma, Life Sciences and Food Sectors across Ireland and the U.K. They focus on two key areas, Laboratory Sciences and Medical Devices. The Medical Division provides innovative medical devices and services to the Acute Hospital, Community Care and Blood Technology sectors.


Qualifications

Educated to at least Degree level in scientific/medical discipline and/or business is desirable
Full Driving Licence

Person experience required

Minimum of 2 years relevant commercial experience in Theatre or Medical Surgical sales or business development required.
Proven track record of Medical Device sales success in the Irish medical market. Ideally, strong relationships with procurement customers in that segment would be a major advantage.
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
Proven organisational/multi-tasking skills.
High level of self-initiative, dynamism, and self-management (capable of working independently)
Strong relationship/team player skills, with ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team.
Excellent communication skills.
IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, CRM systems.
The successful candidate should preferably be based within the territory.
