This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading company in Medical Device Sales.
This role sits in sales and reports into the Sales Director. As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling cutting-edge endoscopy products, specifically designed for urological procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical sales, a deep understanding of urology, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals.

The main purpose of the role is to lead the companys entry into the Endoscopy market, working in partnership with senior management to develop and execute the expansion into this new segment. The successful candidate will be someone excited by the challenge of bringing something new to market, crafting the strategy to build a sustainable and profitable business. The business will invest in this area significantly to drive success and require the right person to spearhead this. The role will have dotted line reporting into it, as we will utilise sales representatives from the existing structure in the short term. As the business expands, dedicated headcount would report into this role. The role involves significant Island of Ireland travel time in the field, supporting the sales team and engaging with customers through direct sales activities.

In this role you will:
Effectively promote and sell our urology endoscopy products to urologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets and market share in the urology segment.
Train and mentor Territory Managers to target Endoscopy growth.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in urology departments of hospitals and clinics.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities in the urology endoscopy space.
Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and potential customers.
Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for healthcare professionals to ensure a thorough understanding of the features and benefits of our endoscopy products.
Collaborate with healthcare institutions to organize workshops and educational events.
Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.

The Client sells current product portfolio comprises capital and consumable products in and ICU, Theatre and Ward environment.

Qualifications

Educated to at least Degree level in scientific/medical discipline and/or business is desirable Full Driving Licence

Person experience required

Minimum of 2 years relevant commercial experience in Endoscopy sales or business development required. Proven track record of Medical Device sales success in the Irish medical market. Ideally, strong relationships within Urology segment would be a major advantage. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sales & marketing strategies in the Irish Medical Device market. Previous experience of the medical distribution sector an advantage. Previous experience of supplier relationship management an advantage. Demonstrable ability to absorb and retain significant levels of clinical/technical detail with the ability to present and communicate fluently with clinicians. Technologically competent in standard applications - Outlook, Word, Excel. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Strong written and spoken communication skills that enable clear, concise but complete information sharing. Ability to present information in an impactful manner that ensures customers understand the value proposition. Customer focussed - goes above and beyond to get the right outcomes for our customers and builds extremely strong customer relationships. Strong commercial acumen, demonstrated by a proven track record of commercial & business development success. Enthusiastic & dynamic, uses initiative to find solutions to deliver business growth.
