Exciting new opportunity for an experienced Hospital Specialist or Key Account Manager to sell a pharmaceutical fluorescence imaging products for guided surgery. In this role you will be responsible for introducing and generating demand for this product with all relevant stakeholders across the focus areas of Ophthalmology, Minimal Invasive Surgery, and Breast SLNB in your target hospitals accounts and designated territory.

Key Responsibilities:
Achieve agreed objectives and annual sales budget the product.
In collaboration with Marketing Managers, establish a key opinion leaders (KOL) network within the Ophthalmology, MIS, Breast SLNB network.
Develop strategic business relationships with key stakeholders both in the public and private sector.
Provide detailed knowledge and understanding of the Ophthalmology, MIS, Breast SLNB marketplace.
Develop in depth understanding of the needs and objectives of customers on all levels - both non-clinical and clinical partners, to develop tailored solutions, which improve sales and sales potential.
Create hospital level business plans to identify key stakeholders and drive incremental sales through a combination of commercial meetings and in-field visits.
Spend time in theatre/clinic environment promoting and driving incremental sales.
Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the National product specialist, including regular commercial meetings and updates.
Attend regular Principal training to develop knowledge, messaging and to grow your product advocacy both clinically and commercially.
Build strong relationships with Hospitals, Clinicians, and other key stakeholder groups.
Work in collaboration with the Product Manager and Nurse Clinical specialist(s) to provide a detailed understanding of the UK market including and not limited to hospital activity.
Deliver training to practice staff and nurses to support clinical trials and product utilisation.
Keep up to date with new developments in the NHS, anticipate potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapt strategy accordingly.

The sales specialist role is located with the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom. The role will require working outside of the designated territory as and when required.

Qualifications

A degree level or equivalent in a life science or healthcare subject. A full UK driving licence, without endorsements. Eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom. Local industry accreditation - Medical Industry Accreditation (MIA), or a willingness to take and pass.

Person experience required

Significant Secondary care sales experience with a sound knowledge of account management. Effective selling skills with a track record of selling and launching new products into specialist care setting. Sales experience within a specialist therapy area - eg Oncology, Ophthalmology, Minimally Invasive Therapy Key Opinion Leader Development and management Outstanding account management experience, including business planning, account analysis, stakeholder mapping and performance measurement. Proficient user of IT business systems, in particular, MS Office - PowerPoint and Excel. Strong team player. Demonstrated through strong communication, positive peer support, showing responsibility and accountability. A flair for creativity, thinking up new ideas and solutions to challenges. Ability to interact effectively and influence all levels of internal and external personnel. Ability to prioritise work, paying attention to the detail, and successfully complete tasks on time.
