Role: Swine Specialist – Animal Health
Therapy Area: Pharmaceuticals/Vaccination programmes – Animal Health / Livestock – Swine

Territory: This is a field-based role covering a territory across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Regular travel throughout the territory is required.

Exciting new opportunity for a Swine Specialist to join the Livestock team of a leading global animal health company. In this field-based role, you will take responsibility for key swine accounts across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
You will manage relevant swine accounts to achieve sales targets within local cost budgets, using a key account management approach and working cross-functionally to develop and execute customer business plans and brand activities.
The role will provide practical support and deliver real value to veterinary customers and pig producers, including the use of on-farm resources where appropriate to support the establishment of vaccination programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement strategic and national account plans and develop and execute local account plans for relevant swine accounts.
Manage key stakeholders within accounts, utilising multi-channel communication where appropriate.
Develop an in-depth understanding of customer businesses, including veterinary customers and producers, identifying mutual opportunities to add value and achieve sales targets.
Utilise on-farm resources to provide practical support to veterinary customers and their farm clients when required, including assisting with the establishment of vaccination programmes on farm.
Monitor market trends, competitor products and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and objectives.
Share market intelligence and customer feedback on products and promotions with relevant internal colleagues.
Maintain a first-in-class level of technical and commercial knowledge of company and competitor products and associated disease areas.
Handle first-line product queries in line with relevant company policies.
Work closely with the Swine Veterinary Advisor to ensure best-in-class technical support is delivered to customers.

Qualifications
Degree or equivalent – relevant commercial experience will also be considered
Full UK/Ireland drivers licence
Experience Required
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong selling and influencing skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong financial fluency and business acumen.
Ability to build effective relationships with veterinary customers, producers and other key stakeholders.
Strong key account management capability with the ability to develop and execute customer business plans.
Ability to develop and maintain a high level of technical and commercial product and disease-area knowledge.
Comfortable working in a field-based role covering Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Desirable:
Previous experience within Animal Health, livestock or veterinary commercial roles.
Existing knowledge of the swine/pig sector and experience working with veterinary customers and/or producers.
Experience of vaccines, livestock disease areas or technical selling within the swine market.
